Where it all began

Hello my fellow plant lovers! I'm so glad that you stopped by our page to see what all the excitement is about.

My name is Sarah and I am the mother of two beautiful girls, Izobel and Zemirah, who attend Crockett Elementary. My first year at the school was mostly me trying to figure out how a magnet school worked and what all I needed to do to ensure my children got the best out of their education and love for the arts. When the school transitioned from online to in person classes, I knew this was the time to let my and my girls social butterflies fly.

I began reaching out to as many parents as I could to start having play dates for the kiddos to burn off energy and to create opportunities for fellow Crocket parents to get to know each other. Not only did I reach out to parents, but I also began building relationships with teachers and staff members so they could know who I was and my willingness to help out wherever or however they needed. As my relationships began to blossom over the next year, I began to realize that there was one art form that was waiting backstage for its moment to shine and that was our planet's boundless beauty where art first began.

The art of nature is a masterpiece of creation, crafted with intricate detail and boundless creativity. It encompasses the breathtaking landscapes, the delicate ecosystems, and the diverse array of flora and fauna that inhabit our planet. From the majestic mountains to the serene seascapes, from the vibrant colors of a sunset to the subtle hues of a flower petal, nature's artistry captivates the senses and evokes a sense of wonder and awe. Each element, from the smallest leaf to the grandest canyon, is a brushstroke in the canvas of existence, reflecting the beauty, harmony, and balance inherent in the natural world.

After joining Crockett's PTO, I began my journey of spreading the love I have for plants with as many people I could. With the help and ideas of my fellow parents and staff members, I was able to come up with fun and interesting ways to involve both parents and students in the program. Sign up below and join us on our adventures through the secret life of plants and the masterpieces we can create using their endless array of shapes, sizes, colors, and smells.
